      Step-by-Step: Creating & Using an OpenAI API

      Step 1: Create/Open an OpenAI Account

      • Go to https://platform.openai.com

      • Sign in or sign up for an account.

      • You’ll need billing set up for usage-based pricing or a subscription plan (like ChatGPT Pro).

      Step 2: Get Your API Key

      • After logging in, go to API Keys

      • Click “Create new secret key”

      • Copy the key and store it securely (you won’t be able to see it again)
